“This is complementary to the university’s embrace of hybrid and blended learning to prepare students for the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and achieve educational resilience in an unstable and rapidly changing world,” UP said.

The university also said some of its constituent universities have already been holding full in-person classes for lab, studio and internship classes since the first semester of the current AY.

“UP Manila began conducting 100% face-to-face classes for its courses in public health disciplines as early as July 2021,” UP added.

Further information on face-to-face tuition in all courses as well as mode of delivery of learning for graduate programs is being finalized as per UP.

On July 13, the Higher Learning Commission issued a statement indicating that it does not require all colleges and universities to implement in-person classes, and the decision to do so rests with the school administration. .
