UP opens applications for SY 2022-2023
The University of the Philippines (UP) has started accepting applications from freshmen for the 2022-2023 academic year.
“Due to the dynamic evolution of the public health situation in light of Covid-19 (2019 coronavirus disease), there is no final decision yet on whether an admission test will be administered for the 2022-2023 intake year, “UP said in a statement.
University admission is based on students’ performance on the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) and their high school grades, but in the absence of UPCAT, their high school diplomas will be the basis to determine their UP score (UPG) which would take into account whether they will be accepted into the selected UP campus and into the degree program.
Interested applicants should create an admission portal account to upload the necessary documentary requirements, including their fully completed personal data sheet, high school records, and a registration certificate or operating permit from the ministry. Education (DepEd) if they graduate in 2022 from a local HS or their HS diploma if they graduated earlier.
There is also a non-refundable application fee for non-Filipino applicants: 450 for resident foreign applicants studying in the Philippines and USD 50 for non-resident foreign applicants.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2021.
