Taguig LGU sets a flat rate for the tricycle fare

The Taguig city government has announced a flat rate for tricycle fare in the city under Alert Level 1.

He said that based on Resolution No. 1 of the City of Taguig Transportation Regulatory Board for 2022, the new flat rate for the tricycle is 10 pesos per trip from the designated terminal to the drop-off point in an area or a route.

The same resolution allowed tricycles to operate at 100% seating capacity under Alert Level 1 from March 1. The National Capital Region is under Alert Level 1 from March 1-15.

According to the Taguig City Government, all Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA) are advised to post posters containing the fares or adjusted fares at all designated tricycle terminals in the city and in all vehicles of tourism.

The Taguig Safe City Task Force issued Notice No. 68 last March 1 on the updated list of guidelines under alert level in the city.

Based on the notice, public transport is allowed to have full seat capacity.

“The ‘No Face Mask, No Ride’ policy must be strictly enforced on all modes of public transportation or employee shuttle service. Passengers and drivers who willfully violate this policy should be refused entry or prohibited from operating any public utility vehicle (PUV),” the Taguig task force added.
