Pasay City COVID-19 Patients Receive Food Packages

The Pasay city government distributed food packages on Saturday, November 20 to 47 COVID-19 patients for their immediate recovery.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said that each food package contains six kilograms of rice, 10 pieces of Energen drinks, ready-to-eat foods and vitamins.

Rubiano said the city government distributes food aid to COVID-19 patients on a weekly basis in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The Municipal Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) said the 47 patients are already on the mend.

Citing the CESU report, the city’s mayor said that out of 201 barangays in the city, only 28 remain with active cases.

She said 23 barangays are still in localized enhanced community quarantine (LECQ).

The mayor told residents to follow basic sanitation protocols or the NDE habit (be sure to always wash your hands, a mask is a must and to implement physical distancing) to prevent the spread of the disease dreaded.
