LANDBANK partners with MyEG PH for eWallet use

The Land Bank of the Philippines has partnered with MyEG Philippines, Inc. (MyEG PH) to enable users of the Link.BizPortal facility to pay for products and services online from government and private institutions at the using e-wallets.

Through this partnership, LANDBANK Link.BizPortal users will now have access to MyEG’s list of E-Wallet payment methods such as GCash, Maya (formerly known as PayMaya), GrabPay and ShopeePay to pay authorization Philippine National Police, Overseas Department of Labor and Employment Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, and Commission Worker Welfare Administration Membership and Other Government Fees public service, among others.

Meanwhile, cash payment options remain available at all branches of 7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Express, Bayad Center, SM Malls, Robinsons Department Store, Tambunting Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, USSC, Posible, DA5 and more. others.

The addition of these alternative digital payment options will provide convenience and efficiency for merchants and institutions, as well as safer and faster funds delivery. The partnership will also reduce direct and indirect costs associated with physical cash or in-kind distribution of goods; establish accountability and monitoring of financial flows, thereby limiting the risk of corruption and theft, as well as unclogging lobbies traffic and saving on operating costs.

The partnership between LANDBANK and MyEG PH supports Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services Act of 2018, which aims to streamline current government service systems and procedures, as well as the Executive Order 170 signed by former President Rodrigo Duterte, which directs all government departments, agencies, and bodies, including state universities and colleges and government-owned or controlled corporations, to embrace digital payments for their disbursements and recoveries.

The Link.BizPortal is LANDBANK’s online payment channel that allows customers to pay for products and services online at over 870 government and private partner merchants nationwide. It facilitated 2.8 million transactions with a total value of P6 billion for the first six months of 2022, translating into year-on-year increases of 48% and 30%, respectively .
