Kyndryl Accelerates Digital Transformation | The Manila Times

The world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider recently announced that Del Monte Philippines Inc. (DMPI), a world-renowned plant-based food company, has engaged Kyndryl in the Philippines in a five-year technology services agreement to manage their infrastructure workloads.

This transformation journey would allow DMPI to achieve greater flexibility and scalability to support the growth of its business.

DMPI is a leader in the production, distribution and marketing of premium quality healthy foods and beverages. It has been in business in the Philippines for 95 years and is a market leader in the categories of packaged pineapple and mixed fruit, ready-to-drink juices, tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce.

DMPI also markets products under its second-tier brand. Today’s DMPI innovates, produces, markets and distributes its products worldwide.

“Del Monte’s partnership with Kyndryl is built on trust and responsibility. Since the beginning of our relationship, Kyndryl has demonstrated the ability to manage our SAP infrastructure as well as migrate our workloads to any cloud, regardless of the hyperscaler chosen,” said Tsikee. Esguerra, director of IT operations at Del Monte Philippines Inc.

“As a company, this has given us high availability support and improved levels of control and governance as we strive to meet our consumers’ growing desire to eat healthier foods,” Esguerra said.

As businesses across the global economy continue to grapple with the ripple effects of pandemic-induced supply chain disruption, food and beverage companies are modernizing their technology infrastructure to conquer a greater market share by accelerating the speed to market of products.

Since beginning an SAP system integration in 2009, Del Monte has turned to Kyndryl as a technology partner for managed services for IT operations as it continues to modernize its aging hardware.

In this renewed collaboration, Kyndryl would provide Del Monte with services critical to its transformation journey, application management for SAP solutions in any cloud, and support of technology infrastructure services to more than 2,000 end users across 14 locations in the Philippines.

Together, these enhancements would help Del Monte advance the way it leverages the cloud to gain agility in how it responds to the ever-changing demands of its customers.

“Our customers recognize the differentiated value that our cloud technologies offer them in a highly competitive business landscape, particularly in streamlining operations and improving visibility into mission-critical workloads,” said Wilson Go, CEO of Kyndryl Philippines.

“Kyndryl is thrilled to partner with DMPI as they embark on new cloud transformation strategies and further strengthen their market leadership position in the Philippines,” he added.
