Good Samaritans rush to the rescue of Jaya, her family – Manila Bulletin
Jaya recently took to social media to thank the many kind people who helped her and her family financially after losing their home to a fire.
A friend, Allan Pajimula, set up a Go Fund Me page for the singer and her family with their consent.
Not too soon, help poured in, enabling them to raise $7,300 from more than 100 donors.
Jaya could only be grateful.
She tweeted: “We are grateful for all your love and generosity! It’s hard to post this, but anything can help us during this tragic time. May God bless you abundantly for helping us!
The family posted a separate update on gofundme.com.
He said, “Everything is fine with us! We are in a hotel for a few days and are awaiting approval for a new location.
“Although this is a difficult transition, we couldn’t do it without all of your generosity, donations, love and support!
“God sends his children to help his children! God bless you all for your kindness!
“We still have a lot of work to do. So keep praying for us! We love you all!”
Jaya and her family moved to the United States in July last year after encountering a series of challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
