MANILA, Philippines — Former Land Reform Secretary John Castriciones is now on the senatorial list of Manila City Mayor and presidential candidate Isko Moreno.

Aksyon Demokratiko President Ernest Ramel confirmed this in a text message to Thursday morning.

Castriciones is a candidate under a wing of the PDP-Laban administration, which originally pitched Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa as its presidential bet.

Moreno said he is open to adopting senatorial bets that would publicly support his tandem with running mate and medical doctor Willie Ong.

“We show our strong support for the candidacy of Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso,” Castriciones said at Moreno’s proclamation rally. He claimed that the mayor of Manila was the only candidate with a plan to improve the agricultural sector in the Philippines.

Castriciones leads Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s National Executive Coordinating Council, the national group of volunteers supporting the Duterte administration that had previously called for the establishment of a revolutionary government.

He is also an international lawyer, professor, author, and former Undersecretary for Operations for the Department of Home Affairs and Local Government.

Earlier, Moreno also said he “would be grateful, honored and honored to have someone like” President Rodrigo Duterte on his list.

As it stands, his Senate slate consists of former lawmaker Samira Gutoc, television personality Jopet Sison and nurse and former radio operator Carl Balita.
