BPI AMTC launches the best performing funds
BPI Asset Management and Trust Corp., the wealth management arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands, recorded strong performance among its unitary investment trust funds, collectively known as BPI Invest.
Showing resilience in the face of the headwinds that have accompanied the pandemic, among its list of top performing funds this year include BPI Invest Global Equity Fund-of-Funds, BPI Invest Philippine Infrastructure Equity Index Fund, BPI Invest US Dollar Short Term Fund and BPI Invest in Money Market Fund.
“Investing in 2021 presented unique challenges. It was previously predicted that the global economy would be fully reopened by this year as life-saving vaccines became available worldwide. Instead, the world was faced with two new variants of the COVID-19 virus, bringing back lockdowns and market volatility. Investors who have remained invested in diversified assets during these uncertain times have seen their portfolio reap positive rewards, at a time when current market returns have remained low,” said Smith Chua, chief investment officer of BPI AMTC.
“In the long term, this pandemic is expected to significantly change the way we live and work. We are optimistic that people and businesses will be able to adapt in order to make them more resilient,” Chua said.
