BARMM has a new transport chief

Lawyer Paisalin Pangandaman Tago, Member of Parliament from the Bangsamoro Transitional Authority (BTA), has been appointed by Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ibrahim as Minister of Transport and Communications (MoTC) for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in the Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Tago had served as president of the regional assembly of the now defunct autonomous region of Muslim Mindanao. At a renewal ceremony held at the Cotabato City Capitol, former MoTC Minister Dickson Hermoso said Tago’s qualifications and experience ensure the smooth management and operation of the ‘agency. Officials present at the ceremony were BTA’s Lawyers for Parliament, Jose Lorena and Omar Sema, and BARMM’s Cabinet Secretary, Asnin Pendatun. The MoTC is the policy-making, planning, programming, co-ordinating, implementing, regulating and administrative arm of the Home Rule Government in the promotion, development and regulation of defensible and coordinated networks of transport and communication systems, as well as fast, safe, efficient and reliable transport and communication services.
