The Davao-based AGRI party list said it fully supports the return to the Senate of Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, as it expresses satisfaction that he is an “unwavering ally” of the farmers and the agricultural sector.

In a statement, AGRI President Wilbert Lee said the party’s List group, which represents farmers and agricultural workers, cited Escudero’s strong and consistent stance in support of the industry. .

“The AGRI Party List joins millions of voters, numerous industry organizations and other party list groups who have expressed support for the senatorial candidacy of Sorsogon Governor Francis Joseph ‘Chiz’ G. Escudero,” Lee said in a statement.

The Free Farmers’ Federation, a 200,000-strong non-governmental organization (NGO) considered one of the largest in the country, also backed the governor.

The tandems of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan; Senator Ping Lacson and Senate President Tito Sotto; and Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Rep. Lito Atienza also adopted Escudero to their senatorial slates.
